Abstract

This essay proposes a reflection on artistic creation guided by the concept of dark ecology formulated by philosopher Timothy Morton. The works arise from a concern with the interaction between humans and the environment, highlighting art's ability to challenge conventional perceptions of nature. Using the technique of analog collage, these works seek to question the distinctions between subject and object, human and non-human, promoting a new aesthetic and ethical approach to nature. Drawing on Morton's principles, such as hyperobjects and object-centered ontology, the paper argues that art can serve as a symbolic and expressive form to coexist with the challenges of the "hidden ecosystems" of the Anthropocene era.
