Eliane Leal Vasquez currently works at the Department of Exact and Technological Sciences, Universidade Federal do Amapá, Mathematics Degree Course, Brazil. She earned her Ph.D. in History of Science at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP). She researches History of Science in Brazil, with a focus on penitentiary science in the 19th century and history of mathematics, and guides studies in mathematics education. Their current project is 'Public Policies for Prison Education in Amapá: For a Government Program Implementation.'
