Science and Knowledge in Focus (ISSN 2594-9233) é uma revista eletrônica do Curso de Graduação em Matemática da Universidade Federal do Amapá, vinculada ao Departamento de Ciências Exatas e Tecnológica. Está aberta à colaboração com a comunidade acadêmica de Cursos de Graduação e Programas de Pós-Graduação das áreas da Matemática, Educação, História, História da Ciência e Ensino, Educação Matemática e Psicologia, com objetivo de contribuir com a produção acadêmica e divulgação científica das ciências, saberes e culturas às comunidadesc de leitores e leitoras que navegam no mundo da internet.

Mathematics, School Context, and Teaching

This section dedicate to publication of research original paper or experience report on the following subjects: History of Sciences and Mathematics Teaching; Inclusive Education and Mathematics Teaching; Prison Education and Mathematics Teaching; History of Mathematics as Teaching Strategy; Research in Ethnomathematics; Ethnomathematics as a Curricular Discipline or Teaching Strategy; Uses of the Digital Learning Objects in different School Contexts; Higher Education and Mathematics Teaching.

Indigenous People, Sciences, and Knowledge

This section devotes to the publication of research paper, experience report, and extension project article on Indigenous School Education and Mathematics Teaching; Sciences Teaching, Quality of Life and Indigenous Cultures; Formation of Indigenous Teachers and Teaching Strategies; Indigenous Higher Education and Sciences Teaching.

Thematic in Focus

This section publishes interviews, translation of documents, extended abstracts or paper of research developed in Graduate Programs of Institutions of Higher Education of Brazil and other countries, with a focus on the scope of the journal or other issues.

Peer Review Process

The papers submitted to the journal will be evaluated of  two the ways:

1) First, the editor will check for plagiarism in the article, using CopySpider software. If the test detects the absence of plagiarism, the editor distributes the work to one or two members of the Editorial Board or other reviewers of the journal who act as contributors, whose areas of expertise match the content of the article;

2) In the second moment, the blind evaluation will occur, that is, with the anonymity of the authors and the reviews. The scholarly opinion of the article will be: a) fully proved; b) approved, provided the necessary corrections made; c) refused.

The author will receive the notification of acceptance or rejection of the article evaluated by the email.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published twice a year. 

Open Access Policy

This journal offers immediate open access to its contents following the principles that free availability of scientific knowledge favors universal democratization of knowledge. Access to submission, publication and reading the works is fully free.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
